Dermal Fillers restore volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and enhance lip volume. The filler is injected directly into the skin by an ultra fine needle and instantly smoothes the wrinkles, fills in the facial folds and plumps up the lips.
The market for fillers is experiencing explosive growth thanks to their ability to erase the signs of time and much more. But, beyond filling wrinkles and plumbing lips, women are now turning to fillers to reshape their faces by strategically adding volume.
At Dermal Skin and Laser Centre we offer a selection of three products:
Restylane®, Evolence and Perlane. Doctor Denton will discuss which option is best for you depending where you wish the enhancement and your goals.
These dermal fillers can correct wrinkles, improve lip definition, and address the signs of ageing from the inside out.

How Dermal Fillers Works:
All young smooth skin has one thing in common: hyaluronic acid. Found in all skin tissue and identical from species to species, this building block of sorts fills out the space between collagen and elastin fibers in the skin, holding in water and maintaining the skin’s volume. With age, levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin decrease and so we end up with furrows, wrinkles, and often thinner lips.
By injecting hyaluronic acid into the skin, we can mimic the effects of natural hyaluronic acid and produce the look and feel of hydrated skin. By filling depressions in the skin, wrinkles and folds are considerably softened and/or eliminated.
What to Expect:
The hyaluronic acid is injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts using an ultra fine needle. Local anesthetic makes the treatment simple with no discomfort. The procedure is convenient and results are instantaneous.
Each procedure is customized. Most patients choose to have a follow up treatment between four and six months after the initial treatment. As the gel breaks down, water takes its place. When totally absorbed, the gel disappears unnoticed from the body.
