Latisse®

latisseFor centuries eyes have been the most intriguing area of the face, and always soulful to look upon. It's no wonder that women have gone to great lengths for beautiful eyelashes. Long, dark, full lashes are an important marker of beauty for many women - defining how beautiful or confident they feel.

Recent research shows that over half of the women asked (54%) want to grow their own natural eyelashes longer, darker and thicker. One of the latest advancements in aesthetic medicine is Latisse™. Latisse® the only prescription treatment available to grow natural eyelashes longer, thicker and darker that is approved in Canada. LATISSE®, an eyelash growth product, when applied once daily to the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes results in lashes growing gradually over time. Most people begin to see the results of longer eyelashes in about eight weeks, with full growth results at 16 weeks.

Find out why people with inadequate lashes are asking about Lattise®

There is a growing interest in Latisse ever since it was introduced. And that is no surprise because LATISSE® is the first and only FDA-approved prescription treatment for growing eyelashes longer, fuller and darker.

Discover the LATISSE® difference.
LATISSE® solution is a growth treatment for eyelashes. It is the only FDA-approved treatment clinically proven to grow lashes. Latisse is the only eyelash growth product of its type available by prescription. Speak to your doctor to see if it’s right for you.

LATISSE® grows lashes longer, fuller and darker.
LATISSE® solution is applied topically to the base of your upper eyelashes once-per-day treatment (as instructed by your doctor). Gradually, the results appear. You may start to see more length in as little as four weeks. Full and dramatic growth is achieved in 16 weeks. It’s not an illusion of growth. It’s your own eyelashes — only better!

How LATISSE® works.
LATISSE® makes eyelash growth possible because of its active ingredient: bimatoprost. Although the precise mechanism of action is unknown, it is believed that LATISSE® affects the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in two ways: first, it increases the length of this phase, and second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase.

The history behind LATISSE®.
Although LATISSE® is a treatment for inadequate or not enough eyelashes, it was developed through many years of dedicated research by Allergan, a pharmaceutical leader with expertise in eye care products.

Latisse - eyelashesStep 1: Before Applying

Before applying LATISSE® each night, ensure your face is clean, makeup is removed, contact lenses are removed, and any other facial skin care products have been applied.

Latisse - eye lashesStep 2: Prepare the Applicator

Remove an applicator from its tray. Then, holding the sterile applicator horizontally, place one drop of LATISSE® solution on the area of the applicator closest to the tip - but not on the tip.

Latisse WhitehorseStep 3: Apply to Skin Using Applicator

Carefully draw the applicator along the skin at the base of the upper eyelashes (where the eyelashes meet the skin) going from the inner part of your lash line to the outer part. DO NOT APPLY in your eye or to the lower lid because excess hair growth outside the treatment area may occur.

LatisseStep 4: Blot Excess

Blot any excess Laitsse solution beyond the eyelid with a tissue.

Step 5: Dispose of ApplicatorLatisse

Dispose of the applicator after a single use. Repeat for the opposite eyelid. Use a new sterile applicator to help minimize any potential for contamination from one eyelid to the other.

Some Important Dos and Don'ts

  • Do not apply Latisse to the lower lid or in the eye and blot excess solution with a tissue.

  • Only use the sterile applicators supplied with LATISSE® to apply the product.

  • Don't allow the tip of the bottle or applicator to touch fingers or any other unintended surface, as contamination by common bacteria is known to cause infections.

  • Remove contact lenses prior to applying LATISSE®. Contact lenses may be reinserted after 15 minutes.

  • Remember, if you stop using LATISSE®, lashes will gradually return to their previous appearance.
